4.6
Overall

The Sony A7 IV is one of the most versatile full-frame mirrorless cameras on the market, blending a 33MP sensor, strong autofocus and capable video into a body that suits both enthusiasts and working professionals.
Image quality
The 33-megapixel sensor is a meaningful step up from the 24MP A7 III it replaced, delivering more detail and room to crop without the enormous file sizes of a 61MP A7R body.
Autofocus
Real-time tracking and Eye AF are reliable across people, animals and birds, making the A7 IV a strong choice for events and portraits.
Who should buy it
Hybrid shooters who split time between stills and video will feel most at home here. It is not the cheapest option, but it is among the most balanced.
